The 3D view allows you to display any place on the map in a perspective that is close to human spatial perception. It allows you to rotate the scenery sideways and change the height of the view above the terrain, which improves the visualization of the landscape’s elevation profile. The 3D terrain model covers the entire world.
Maps available in 3D view
- Aerial 3D map: Displays aerial images with 3D building models (in the Czech Republic)
- Outdoor 3D map: Displays hiking trails, bike paths, and points of interest. It helps in planning trips and provides a better idea of the route profile
- Winter 3D map: Displays winter resorts, lifts, slopes, and cross-country trails. Allows assessment of slope difficulty and cross-country trail profiles
The mobile app only offers the 3D view with an aerial map.
Once the 3D view is enabled, you can switch between different map types by clicking the Change map button.

Troubleshooting 3D model display
For correct 3D map display, WebGL technology support in the browser and graphics card is required. If you have problems, try the following:
- WebGL support: Ensure your browser supports WebGL (Internet Explorer 10 and lower are not supported)
- Enable WebGL: Check if you have WebGL enabled in the browser settings (e.g., Safari has this function disabled by default)
- Update drivers: Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card
- Functionality test: Test WebGL on websites such as get.webgl.org
- The 3D view function is available for devices with Android 5 and higher
