How to Purchase a Subscription

Detailed Instructions for Purchasing via Paddle Payment Gateway

On the Mapy.com website, click the green Go to Premium button above the map or in the user account details. The application will redirect you to a proposition screen where you will find all the important information and the price of the Premium.

By clicking on the Premium price, you will be redirected to the Paddle payment system. The payment page is currently only available in English, but we are working on a Czech version. Here, choose your preferred payment method—PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or payment card. If Google Pay is not visible as a payment option, you might not meet one of the following conditions:

  • You need to be logged into the Chrome browser with an account linked to Google Pay
  • You need to have a payment card saved in the Google Wallet app
  • You also need to allow websites in Wallet to check whether you have saved payment methods

For card payment, enter the card number, its expiration date, and the CVV code from the back of the card. Confirm the card payment by clicking the green Start your free trial button.

If you’ve had Premium in the past and then canceled it, you won’t be offered a 7-day trial period again.

The subscription price will be 0,- (CZK, EUR, or USD) because the first 7-day trial period takes place, and money will be deducted after this period.

The email provided in the lower left corner is the one to which Premium will be linked upon a successful process. Please ensure it is the correct account (email) that you use for logging into the Mapy.com application both on the web and in the app. This email will also receive payment information and the invoice.

Verify Purchase

You will be prompted to verify the payment by your bank (probably through your mobile banking application, SMS, or how you usually verify payments online). After verification, click on the Continue button. You need to have online payments enabled and a sufficient payment limit.

You will receive information that the payment transaction has been verified and the purchase process was successful. Return to Mapy.com by clicking the arrow in the upper left corner of the screen.

The successful purchase will also be visible with all the information in your profile on Mapy.com. There you can find a link to manage your subscription on the Paddle platform, or a link to cancel the subscription.

Two emails will also be sent to you after a successful purchase, including the payment invoice.

Detailed Instructions for Purchasing in Google Play

In the mobile application, click the green button with the subscription price. The application will offer you card payment through your Google Play store. Confirm payment with the stored card and click the Subscribe blue button.

If you don’t have a payment card stored in Google Play, you will need to add one. The card can be added to the Google Wallet app. Your card must have online purchases enabled—you can verify this in your internet banking.

The subscription price will be 0,- (CZK, EUR, or USD) because the first 7-day trial period takes place, and money will be deducted after this period.

Verify Purchase

Your bank may require payment confirmation, which is set up for online payments (confirmation in the banking application or a new window, mobile key). Be careful to confirm the payment after completing the previous step, otherwise, the transaction will not be completed. You will receive information that the payment transaction has been accepted for processing. Returning to the mobile application will cause the Mapy.com Premium service to be available. If a direct return is not possible, use the Back button on your phone or the back gesture, or return through the windows of running applications. Do not use the close button, Cancel button, Close button, etc. It varies according to each bank application, which can terminate the entire payment and make it unsuccessful.

FAQs

Can I pay monthly, annually, or lifetime?

Currently, we allow an annual payment with automatic renewal. To purchase a subscription, you will need login in the Mapy.com application and an active payment method such as a payment card, PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay. At the moment, we can’t provide subscription payments via direct debit, cash on delivery, or other methods.

Can I try the premium version?

Yes, you can take advantage of the 7-day trial period. The subscription payment will be deducted at the end of this trial period. You will see the exact date, duration of the trial period, and payment deadline in the Subscription management section. The trial period can only be used once. For the trial period, login and a payment method are required.

If I cancel my subscription during the 7-day trial period, will I keep premium features?

If you cancel your subscription during the trial, you will have access to premium features until the end of the trial period. The trial period can only be used once.

Can I gift a Mapy.com Premium subscription to someone else?

We currently don’t have the functionality to gift a subscription directly in the Mapy.com application. You can use alternative options such as gift credits in the respective app store (Google Play or App Store). For example, within a family, you can purchase the subscription on the recipient’s device with their account logged in, but use your payment method for the transaction.

Subscription Process

The subscription can be processed through a Third Party (in the mobile app via Google Play or Apple App Store, on the web through Paddle). The Third Party will send you an email with the purchase confirmation, cancellation terms, and next payment date.

FAQs

I have both a phone and a tablet. Do I need to buy two premiums?

Of course not, with your logged account, Mapy.com Premium benefits will be functional on all devices simultaneously. Simply log in with the same account on both your phone and tablet.

Can I share the premium subscription with family?

In the Mapy.com application, we currently do not support sharing a premium subscription between multiple accounts.

Can I purchase multiple subscriptions at once?

Under one Google account/Apple ID, you can purchase a subscription for only one Seznam account. If you wish to purchase a subscription for someone else, utilize alternative options like gift credit in the appropriate app store (Google Play or App Store). For purchasing, you can buy the subscription on the recipient’s device with their account logged in, but use your payment method.

What if the subscription price changes?

If the subscription price changes during your purchased period, nothing changes for you until the end of the period. The Third Party will inform you in advance that the price will change for the next period. You will then decide whether to accept the new price for the next period or cancel the subscription.

Subscription Renewal

When purchasing a subscription through a Third Party, you confirm automatic subscription renewal. Thus, your subscription will automatically renew for another year, and a payment will be deducted at the end of the paid period. If you don’t wish to automatically renew the subscription, cancel its recurrence under Menu/Mapy.com Premium, Subscription management option. After cancelling the subscription, the paid period runs its course, and your application automatically reverts to the free version.

Ending Subscription

The subscription payment was processed through a Third Party. In their interface, you can cancel the subscription at any time. In the Mapy.com website menu or application, there is a link where to start. Under Menu, Mapy.com Premium offer, Subscription management option. After cancelling the subscription, the paid period runs its course, and your account automatically reverts to the free version.

Can I revert to the free version after the subscription expires?

Yes, if you cancel your subscription, once the paid period is over, the app will automatically revert to the free version.

Do my downloaded offline maps remain after the subscription expires?

Yes, if your premium version expires, you will keep all offline maps that you downloaded during the subscription period. You can continue to use them, but you won’t be able to download new maps or update existing ones. To download additional maps or update them, we recommend returning to Premium.

Can I get a refund for the purchased subscription?

The subscription payment was processed through a Third Party, and refunds are handled by their procedure. Mapy.com subscriptions do not have a 14-day withdrawal period but offer a 7-day trial period for free. If you cancel your subscription during the paid period, the conditions for a refund are also determined by the Third Party. You should contact the Third Party directly as we are unfortunately unable to resolve this request ourselves or refund your money.

I want to purchase the subscription again after cancelling
I want to cancel my entire Seznam account but have Mapy.com Premium

Before cancelling your Seznam account, you will need to end the recurrence of the Mapy.com Premium subscription.

Troubleshooting

It’s important to report any discrepancies directly from the app. This is because we receive complete information regarding the operating system, application version, etc. With this data, we can quickly simulate the issue on our end, fix it, or provide you with accurate advice.

After purchasing, offline maps or other premium features don't work?

Check that your application is logged in with the same Seznam or alternative account that you used to purchase Mapy.com Premium. If you logged out after purchase, you will need to log in again to manage downloaded offline maps.
