The PRO planner allows you to easily edit an already planned route directly on the map. Just indicate with your finger where you think it should lead, and Mapy.com will recalculate the route according to the drawn path.
The PRO planner is part of the Mapy.com Premium subscription.
Logged-in users without Premium can try it for free during five planning sessions. In each session, the PRO planner can be used without restrictions. After the trial uses are exhausted, an active Premium is required for further manual edits and working with history.
Enabling the PRO Planner
- Open Route Planning in the mobile application.
- Select the mode of transport and enter the start and finish.
- Tap the PRO planner button above the map.
- A panel with tools for manual route editing and undoing changes will open.
If you don’t have a route planned between two points yet, manual drawing will not be available.
Editing the Route
- In the PRO planner, tap the Draw button.
- Draw on the map with your finger where you want the route to go.
- Once the stroke is completed, the drawing mode will turn off, and the route will automatically recalculate.
You can edit other parts of the route in the same way.
While drawing, you cannot move the map. After finishing the edit, you can control the map as usual.
Manual drawing does not create new waypoints. It only serves to refine the course of the existing route between specified points.
Undoing and Redoing Changes
You can gradually undo or redo changes made in the planner using the Back and Redo buttons.
For example, the history saves:
- adding, removing, or moving a point
- changing the order of points
- changing the direction of the route
- dragging the route on the map
- manual route editing by drawing
For example, the history does not save changes to:
- planning mode settings
- departure or arrival time
- options like toll sections or preferences for specific paths.
When changing the type of transport, the existing edit history is erased.
After saving the route, the history starts again from its saved state. You cannot return to steps made before saving.
Types of Transport
You can use manual route editing by drawing when planning:
- by car
- on foot
- on bike
- on skis or cross-country skis.
For public transport and waterway routes, you can use the Back and Redo buttons, but manual drawing is not available.
The PRO planner is not part of the Nearby Trips feature.
Waypoints
When recalculating, Mapy.com continues to respect all specified waypoints.
If the route unexpectedly twists or returns after manual editing, check the placement of waypoints. You can remove or move a problematic point.
Saving, Sharing, and Navigation
You can handle a manually edited route just like a regular route:
- save to My Mapy
- share
- start in navigation
When saving and sharing, the route also remembers its manually edited course.
On the Mapy.com website, a manually edited route appears as a standard route. However, it cannot be edited by drawing.
A shared or saved manually edited route can be opened, saved, and used for navigation by a user without Premium. Further editing by drawing requires Premium.
